1. How long does the process take?
This depends upon how quickly you submit the necessary information and how quickly you respond after you receive your first draft. On average, resume and cover letter development is around 5-7 business days from receipt of order to final delivery. The delivery time of executive packages, which have a lot of different components and services is typically longer due to the sheer amount of hard work we invest in preparing them for you. If you are looking for a resume factory that churns out resumes to meet 24 hour deadlines we need to be frank - we are not a match. VIP Resumes carefully and painstakingly creates individual packages for each client and we will not compromise ourselves - or you - by producing a second-rate resume.
2. How does your resume service work?
Step 1 - Your choice
You choose the package that's right for you.
Step 2 - Making Payment
As a service based business, payment is the next step. Your resume is fully customized to you and your needs and it cannot be used by someone else. Upfront payment means you are serious about proceeding. Payment to be made through Paypal via EFT or Credit Card. Once payment has been received the next step begins.
Step 3 - Behind the Scenes/Timelines
1. Our consultant will make contact with you and set up a meeting either face to face or over the phone.
2. A list of probing questions will be developed specifically to expose your real strengths and acheivements.
3. We commence writing when all of your answers are received. The first draft will be delivered via email.
4. Depending upon the package that you order an online profile report will need to be completed by you. This process takes around 20-25 minutes and can be completed online from your home.
5. You then review the documents for accuracy and content.
Step 4 - Finalisation of your Resume and Documents
1. Our consultant will finalise your resume package and email it to you.
2. A CD copy will also be created with all of your completed documents attached. These will be posted to your nominated mailing address.
3. Are your prices negotiable?
VIP Resumes is not a retailer of a manufactured product. We are a professional service provider like your accountant, solicitor or doctor. Our intellectual property is our value. At VIP Resumes our services are fairly and reasonably priced and representative of the effort it takes to help you get interviews. In most cases the fee for your resume will be recovered in the first few hours of your first day at your new job.

4. This is urgent! The job of a lifetime is being advertised. Can you help?
VIP Resumes recognises that opportunities do at times arise and as such we have developed an express service to assist you. We endevour to complete the service in under 48 hours however due to the fact that we will need to reallocate professional resources, an express fee will be necessary.
Please remember though this is your career! Your future! A career move needs to be well thought out, strategically planned and prepared to take you through the different phases of experience and growth. It should not be a knee-jerk reaction. The most successful people are those people who plan their moves strategically and carefully.
If you have a job advertisement you are seeking you can forward it directly through to your consultant. We can take an objective view of you and of the ad and try to meld them. By this, we mean that we will examine the job requirements as stated in the posting or ad and then try to find the qualities that you possess and match them. Most people have trouble seeing the relationship between their strengths or accomplishments in previous jobs and the requirements or skills needed in the job they are seeking. Your consultant will work with you to make your resume feature and showcase these unique qualities that will help you be chosen as a candidate for an interview.
5. Do you guarantee I will get an interview?
VIP Resumes stand by the quality and consistency of our work. If you are not happy with something in your document we will work with you, explain your options and offer alternative solutions so that the integrity of the document will not be compromised.
Additionally, every word of your resume must contain honest information. Your consultant will take all of the information that you have supplied away and word it in a way that will make it strong and effective.
Some examples of why we cannot guarantee an interview are as follows - you could count yourself out of the race of acheiving an interview by attaching your perfect resume to an email and then spelling the recruiters name incorrectly as you send it; you could be two years out of high school and applying for a CEO's position in a fortune 500 company. We cannot control you applying for jobs that are not suited to your experience, jobs outside the scope of your resume or jobs in short supply; your competitors; the environment of the moment; or any mistakes you make after receiving the resume are all outside of our control.
We can, however, control the resume development and ensure that you're happy with the documents that we prepare.
6. I dont have time for a face to face meeting! Can this be done by any other means?
Yes of course. Whilst face to face meetings are an option we can also obtain all of the relevant information from you via a phone meeting as well as via electronic means such as email.
7. How does the Profile report help me?
Behavioural Assessments identify your special talents, your communication style and how your positive characteristics can be valuable in the workplace. Successful job searching has become a very sophisticated process. We supply you with a password and website address to take the profile. A profile is around 20-25 questions and takes about 20 minutes to complete online. Your report will be sent to you in PDF (Adobe Reader) fomat via email within minutes.
8. How do I pay for my resume? Is this a secure site?
We commence work upon receipt of your payment in full. Payments are to be made via Paypal which is a secure site. Your consultant will assist you with this process. You can safely enter all personal information together with your credit card details. Paypal accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Sorry no cheques, money orders or bank cheques, as they require too much time to process and clear.
9. Do you include paper copies and folders?
